Community Well-being underpins all our other themes. Over the years we have run specific well-being-themed events at Woodlands Community College and Townhill Junior School, as well we including well being elements in lots of other community events.
We have worked with Yellow Door (formerly Southampton Rape Crisis) to support women affected by Domestic Violence, and worked with Carers Together to support carers in the community.
Via our grants programme we were able to support Solent Mind to set up the Mental Health Well-being group “Hand In Hand” that still runs weekly in the SO18 Big Local area. For more information on Hand In Hand, click here.
Our Harefield Hub is also home to a support group run by Autism Hampshire for families affected by Autism, and Natter Chatter parent support group. We also have links with Capable Creatures who organise monthly dog walks on the Common for people experiencing mental health difficulties.
