Jubilee Celebrations
During the first half of 2022, we launched our Jubilee Celebration Fund – this was similar to a mini grant fund, with the aim of supporting groups of residents who wanted to hold celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee in June.
This fund was provided in line with our “Kinder Community” theme, in order to allow residents to come together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
This fund is now closed, but we were pleased to be able to support 3 groups to have Jubilee Celebrations with their communities.
Additionally, we worked with Southampton Airport, Townhill Park Residents’ Association and Eastleigh Men’s Shed to create a new raised bed outside the entrance to Marlhill Copse on River Walk. This was planted up with a red, white and blue colour scheme in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with the help of some of the School Council from Townhill Junior School.
