Family friendly nature-related activities to enjoy this Summer, in your garden or local green space!
How it works:
Every Monday morning around 10am, starting from 27th July, we will release a short video here and on our Facebook page demonstrating how to make a nature-related object.
You’ll then have a week to make the object using materials you have at home and that you can find outdoors and send us your photos of the results.
We’ll (with Youth Options) pick a winner each week to receive a prize!
There will also be trails to follow through Frogs Copse and Harefield Woods each week on a different theme, plus online quizzes.
Please comply with current social distancing requirements when following the trails, and be respectful of the outdoor spaces you visit – leave only footprints, take your creations and any litter home with you.
To be eligible for the weekly competition, photos must be received by SO18 Big Local by 9am of the next Monday after the competition was set.
Photos can be sent by email (info@SO18BigLocal.org.uk) or WhatsApp to SO18 Big Local on 07528 338104.
Please ensure you have permission to share the photos if they include any identifiable people in them as we may use them on our social media pages.
